Following straight on from the first game the team once again started strongly. This time they couldn't turn chances into goals. They then fell behind to a sucker punch. Magic Mike tackled well on the right with the ball going off the pitch but unfortunately lost his footing. With Magic still on the floor the Wakefield forward took the sideline quickly and attacked the D. Homer tried to cover but the pace of the forward took him past to shoot at goal. Chocolate made a good initial save but the Wakefield forward was able to push the ball over the line in ensuing scramble.
A couple of decisions then appeared to against the Chap boys and they became frustrated culminating in Gandalf conceding a free hit at the edge of the D for an invisible back stick. The resultant free hit was fired straight into the D onto a Chap foot. Further frustration as the boys , expecting the free hit to go their way, were dismayed to see a short corner awarded. Ponch ran well on the first blocking the initial effort but the ball ran onto a Chap foot for second short. Once again it was kept out by a terrific stop by Chocolate but once again it was at the expense of a further short. Unfortunately the team could do nothing as Wakefield changed their routine and fired in their second goal.
Chuckle was then green carded as his frustration boiled over and he deliberately kicked a ball he could not reach. Chap thought they had pulled one back 5 minutes from the end when Tomahawk lobbed the ball into the D. The ball went over one defenders at full stick extension and landed in the D at the second defenders feet. The second defender missed the ball and Ponch ran onto the missed ball and fired into the net. With the team celebrating the lifeline the umpire took an age before interpreting the initial lob as dangerous play and disallowing the goal.
