Could the mighty Chap 2's make it 5 wins out of 5 away to Leeds 3s to continue the come back of all come backs reminiscent of all 5 Rocky movies in their fight for promotion to Div 1.

After a tense opening 10-15 minutes with half chances falling to both sides 2's debutant Paul Mannion skillfully won a short corner after tieing the Leeds right back in knots. After receiving the ball top D from Tim Lloyd, verteran wannabe Mike Chambers delayed his pass to perfection back to Tim Lloyd who expertly finished. This sparked Leeds into life only to find the Chapeltown working hard defensively closing down Leeds and for the 2 chances that fell their way, Sumo was on irresistable form with some excellent saves. Following great work from Greg Bristol, Matt Burgan, Mike Chambers and Lee Kaighan (sorry can't remember which one of you it was) who fed the ball through to Captain Incomprehensible who centred the ball from an accute angle to Tim Lloyd 2 yards out who finished neatly. Chap saw the half out retaining their 2 goal cushion.
Chapeltown started the second half strongly with some good periods of possession forcing Leeds to resort to playing 'crashball' hockey in the hope that someone may get a touch on the ball. Leeds best chance of the game came and went as the Leeds forward found himself unmarked at the back post only to wobble under pressure from Sumo.
Rob who had performed admirably at left back was replaced by Sam Mycock, a quick shuffle with hard working Greg Bristol dropping into left back and Sam keeping Leeds right midfield company. The game became quite stretched but Chapeltown were the ones to capitalise when good work from Tim Lloyd found an excellent save from the Leeds keeper to deny his hatrick. Tim beat the defense to the saved ball and pulled it back to Jim Davidson at the top of the D who thumped the ball as only Jimmy can into the far right corner of the net.
The game finished at 3 nil with the 2's long awaited 1st clean sheet of the season. Special mention to Ahti Khan who's late withdrawal 9 months ago caused his late withdrawal of todays fixture but gave the opportunity to players to step up from the 3's who all performed well.
Sumo edged man of the match for some exceptional saves tied on the number of votes with Tim who also had an excellent game. Jimmy got confused on the way home, he wouldn't let the fact that Tim wasn't in the car with us stop him from trying to talk to Tim in the car. You probably had to be there. Shortly after he went back to licking the window. Miraculously Jimmy dogded dick of the day despite launching his stick in the warm up. Vice Captain Numb Nuts took one for the team and got dick for, forgetting to put Jimmy on the team sheet, chatting up/flirting with the opposition and 'backing on'
